As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. – Proverbs 27:17
In the fellowship of our Men’s Ministry, men of all ages are encouraged to experience this "sharpening" as we encourage each other in this exciting, life-long journey, serving God in our homes, church, workplaces, and community.
We offer a number of studies, groups, and activities that allow for men to grow their faith while doing life alongside other men who love the Lord.
VOLUNTEER - CHORE CORPS
The goal of Chore Corps is to answer the biblical call to care for widows, single parents and those in distress. Through this missional ministry, we demonstrate the love of Christ and our obedience to His Word.
Using a team approach, Chore Corps goes beyond doing isolated "good deeds" to building caring relationships. This team approach avoids burnout of a single individual while generating and sustaining energy among the members.
As a Chore Corps team member, you'll donate two hours on the fourth Saturday of each month. You'll be part of a team that is assigned to a widow, widower, single parent, or another individual with long-term needs. You'll head out at 8 a.m. to work at your adoptee's home until 10, when you'll break for prayer and reading scripture with the individual whom you're serving. You'll return to the same care receiver each month to help build a relationship and better assess future needs.
No skills required. We just need your willingness to work alongside other men with hearts for service!
