But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed. You know those who taught you, and you know that from childhood you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. – 2 Timothy 3:14-15

The teen years are difficult, no doubt. They’re also a time when it is critical for young people to mature in their faith, be surrounded by a community of other believers, and be prepared to articulate their faith. Our Student Ministry staff and volunteers help 7th-12th graders be the church by discovering life in Christ, connecting with God and others, and serving others in obedience to Him.

Summer Interns

Each year, we employ six summer interns. These college-age men and women have completed at least their freshman year of college and desire to stretch and grow in their faith and leadership as they create and nurture God-honoring relationships with middle and high school students. Our interns also plan and execute a robust offering of summer events and retreats for our students. If you’d like to be considered for one of these positions, please download our Student Ministry Intern Position Description and complete our Student Ministry Intern Application. Email your completed application to Student Ministry Pastor Jeremy McGrath at jeremy@discovertbc.com.
